GTA 6 PC Release: Q1 2027 Report Remains Unconfirmed
Source status checked October 28, 2026.
The GTA 6 PC release has no confirmed date. A report points to January–March 2027, but Rockstar’s public GTA VI page still lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026.
What does the Q1 2027 report actually say?
Tom’s Hardware’s October 13 coverage attributes the proposed PC window to GamesBeat and anonymous industry sources. Treat that window as reported information, rather than a Rockstar announcement.
That distinction matters when planning a build. A possible release quarter does not tell you which graphics card to buy, how much storage to reserve or whether your current processor meets a minimum specification.
What Rockstar has confirmed
The official GTA VI website gives the console date and platforms. It also lists an October 15 launch trailer. These updates concern the announced game; they do not establish a Windows release or PC hardware requirements.

Should you upgrade your PC for GTA 6 now?
Our advice is to wait for an official PC specification before buying hardware specifically for this game. You can still inventory your existing parts and decide which games you want to play in the meantime.
Our GTA 6 requirements guide labels its hardware tiers as predictions. They are a planning aid, not evidence that a particular PC will run the finished game. The GameReadyCheck methodology explains how to interpret those estimates.
If you already intend to play on console, use the GTA 6 PS5 and Xbox guide. Otherwise, follow the GTA 6 release tracker while keeping the console date separate from any proposed PC window.
