Console Exclusives Going PC-Only? 2026-2027's Biggest Releases Mapped
Six games, six different platform stories. Here's exactly what's confirmed for each one, so you know what you actually need to own to play it.
Where every game we track actually stands
"Is it coming to PC" isn't a yes/no question right now, it depends entirely on the title. Here's the confirmed platform picture for every game on our radar, as of today.
| Game | PS5 | Xbox Series X|S | PC | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GTA 6 | Confirmed | Confirmed | Not announced | Nov 19, 2026 |
| Fable | Confirmed | Confirmed | Confirmed, day one | Feb 23, 2027 |
| Metro 2039 | Confirmed | Confirmed | Confirmed, day one | Feb 4, 2027 |
| WARDOGS | — | — | Confirmed, PC only | Out now (Early Access) |
| Gears of War: E-Day | — | Confirmed | Confirmed | Oct 6, 2026 |
| Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 | Unknown | Unknown | Unknown | 2027 window only |
Three distinct patterns show up here: GTA 6 is console-first with PC unconfirmed (following the pattern of past Rockstar releases, which have historically arrived on PC after console). Fable and Metro 2039 are simultaneous day-one across all three platforms. WARDOGS reverses the pattern entirely, PC only, no console version at all. Gears of War: E-Day skips PlayStation specifically, an Xbox-ecosystem-plus-PC release.
What this means if you're deciding what to buy
- Want GTA 6 at launch? A console is currently the only confirmed option, see our console buying guide.
- Building toward Fable or Metro 2039? A PC purchase is safe, both are confirmed day-one there alongside consoles.
- Already playing WARDOGS? There's no console fallback to wait for, it's PC only for the foreseeable future.
