Best TV for GTA 6

Modern PS5 and Xbox Series X|S hardware can output up to 4K at 120fps, most TVs sold today can't actually display that. GTA 6's own performance modes aren't confirmed (Rockstar has only said 30fps is the target and a 60fps mode hasn't been decided, see our FAQ), so a 120Hz-capable TV is about headroom and broader gaming use, not a promise GTA 6 will hit 120fps. Here's what to check before you buy, and which current TVs get it right.

The four specs that actually matter

SpecWhat it doesWhy it matters for GTA 6
HDMI 2.1Enough bandwidth for 4K at 120HzWithout it, you're capped at 4K60 or 1440p120 regardless of what your console outputs
VRRVariable Refresh Rate, matches the TV's refresh rate to the game's actual framerateEliminates screen tearing during framerate dips in a dense open world
ALLMAuto Low Latency Mode. TV switches to Game Mode automaticallyCuts input lag without you having to dig through a settings menu every session
HDR (HDR10 / Dolby Vision)Wider brightness and color rangeGTA games lean heavily on time-of-day lighting and neon. HDR is where that actually shows

A TV missing HDMI 2.1 is the single most common mistake, plenty of "4K TVs" still ship with HDMI 2.0 ports that top out at 4K60, silently capping your Performance mode benefit.
