GTA 6 System Requirements

Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version of GTA 6 yet, so there's no official spec sheet. Here's what we can responsibly predict, and why, updated the moment anything changes.

Current status: GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version, PC date, or PC requirements have been confirmed by Rockstar as of this writing.

Predicted specs, by tier

Based on PS5/Series X hardware equivalence and Rockstar's last few PC ports (GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2). Treat these as an informed estimate, not a promise.

Why we predict this

Three things anchor this estimate:

  • Console hardware is the floor. GTA 6 targets PS5 and Series X, both built around a Zen 2 8-core CPU and an RDNA2 GPU roughly equivalent to an RX 6700-class card. A PC minimum spec typically sits close to that, since the console is the baseline the game is built for.
  • Rockstar's PC ports run heavier, not lighter. Both GTA V and RDR2 shipped on PC with higher settings ceilings and higher requirements than their console versions, thanks to added density, draw distance and lighting fidelity.
  • File size trend. GTA V is ~95GB installed; RDR2 is ~150GB. GTA 6's more detailed, larger map makes 150GB+ a reasonable floor. See our storage breakdown.

Recommended upgrades

If you're already behind our predicted minimum, these are the three upgrades that move the needle most, priced and stocked live at each retailer.

Graphics Card

Our predicted minimum sits around an RTX 2060 / RX 6600. An RTX 4060 Ti–4070-class card clears the Recommended tier with room to spare.

16GB RAM Kit

16GB looks like the realistic floor across every tier. If you're still on 8GB, this is the cheapest fix on this list.

1TB NVMe SSD

At a predicted 130–160GB install size, a fast 1TB NVMe drive keeps load times down with room to spare. See our storage breakdown.

FAQ

Has Rockstar released official GTA 6 PC system requirements?

No. Rockstar has only confirmed GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, launching November 19, 2026. No PC version, PC release date, or PC system requirements have been announced.

Will GTA 6 come to PC?

Almost certainly, eventually. Rockstar has ported every mainline GTA title to PC. GTA V arrived on PC about 18 months after console; GTA IV took about six months. A PC version is likely but not yet confirmed.

What are the predicted minimum GTA 6 PC requirements?

Based on PS5/Series X hardware and Rockstar's past PC ports. Expect roughly an RTX 2060 or RX 6600, a 6-core CPU from the last five years, 16GB RAM, and an SSD with around 150GB free. This is a prediction, not an official spec.
